Traffic was slowed in uptown Charlotte on Sunday as crews filmed a movie starring Mickey Rourke.

Tryon Street near the Square and the uptown branch of the public library were partially blocked for filming.

According to the movie tracking site nchollywood.com, the comedy-drama “Ashby” “follows the relationship between a high school student and a retired CIA assassin who only has months to live,” played by Rourke.

Sarah Silverman and Emma Roberts are also reportedly in the movie.

It was unclear whether any roads would be closed on Monday. Staff writer Mike Reader contributed.
