Public hearings are scheduled for Monday on Cabarrus County commissioners’ plans to put two education-related bond issues on the November ballot.

The hearings will be held during the commissioners’ meeting, set for 6:30 p.m. at the Cabarrus County Government Center on Church Street SE.

The commissioners plan to put a pair of bond issues on the Nov. 4 ballot – $11 million for the public schools, and $9 million for Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. The public school money would be used to replace Royal Oaks Elementary School, and the community college funds would enable the community college to build a new Advanced Technology Center.
