Fan Fest adds to uptown congestion

Carolina Panthers fans headed uptown for Friday night’s Fan Fest are adding vehicle and pedestrian congestion in the area.

Carolina Panthers fans headed uptown for Friday night’s Fan Fest are adding vehicle and pedestrian congestion in the area.

The free event starts at 5 p.m. at the newly renovated Bank of America Stadium with performances by the TopCats cheerleaders, PurrCussion and Black & Blue Crew.

The team will begin its first preseason practice at 6:30 p.m., followed by a fan Q&A session with Panthers personnel. Fan Fest will wrap with a performance by Voltage Brothers and fireworks at 9 p.m.
