Worker killed at construction site in Waxhaw

Police and federal labor officials are investigating the death of a man Tuesday morning at a construction site in Waxhaw.

Authorities said the man died shortly after 7 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle on Caesars Head Drive, off Gray Byrum Drive near Providence Road. The victim was working at a home construction site, police said.

Waxhaw police and officials from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the incident. The name of the victim has not been released.
