Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a Cornelius man on Sunday on charges of child abuse after authorities said the man confessed to shaking his 2-month-old son.
Police said they responded to a call at the Cornelius Police Department to interview Scott Matthew Moss, 28, where he confessed to shaking the infant and causing serious injury.
Officers determined the abuse took place in Charlotte in the 1300 block of South College Street. Moss was then arrested and taken to the Mecklenburg County jail where he is being held on a $200,000 secured bond.
Police did not say what condition the infant is in or what injuries were sustained. Elizabeth DePompei
