No injuries in north Charlotte house fire

No injuries were reported in a house fire Tuesday evening in north Charlotte, authorities say.
The fire was reported shortly before 7 p.m. at a two-story house in the 200 block of Tom Hunter Road. Charlotte fire Capt. Rob Brisley said firefighters from Station 27 near UNC Charlotte found smoke coming from the home when they arrived.
The crew was able to bring the fire under control in less than 15 minutes.
The American Red Cross said a family of five – an adult and four children – was displaced by the blaze. The Red Cross provided help for the family.
Fire officials said the blaze was accidental and that it started in a second-floor bedroom. Damage was estimated at $15,000, officials said.
