Firefighters rescue 1 person trapped in vehicle in northwest Charlotte

A person who had become trapped in a vehicle after a northwest Charlotte accident was rescued after 12 minutes, Charlotte Fire Capt. Dennis Gist said Sunday.
Gist said firefighters responded to the accident about 9:25 a.m. Sunday near 11500 Brookshire Blvd.
One patient was taken to a local trauma center after the rescue, although it was not clear which facility that person went to.
Eighteen firefighters worked on the rescue, Gist said.
