The road around a major accident Tuesday morning on Rocky River Road at Hood Road in northeast Charlotte has reopened.
The accident sent three people to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said, including a 3-year-old girl.
Meanwhile, there is a disabled vehicle in the road in the 7400 block of South Boulevard.
And drivers should keep in mind that construction of the trolley line will close another uptown intersection this week, according to the Charlotte Department of Transportation.
The Caldwell Street-Trade Street intersection will be closed at 9 a.m. Tuesday and is not scheduled to reopen until late October. A detour will be posted, with motorists using Davidson Street, East Fourth Street, College Street and East Fifth Street.
The closure is needed to install rails, according to the DOT.
And N.C. DOT crews will close McAuley Road in both directions near N.C. 73 from about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday to 3 p.m. Friday.
