Traffic conditions have improved on inbound East Independence Boulevard at 9:05 a.m. Monday, but the new trouble spot is the inner loop of the John Belk Freeway.
A wreck with injuries about 8 a.m. on the John Belk Freeway near the Morehead Street exit clogged the freeway, and traffic remains slow in the area.
Earlier slowdowns on Independence Boulevard – the result of collisions about 7 a.m. near Briar Creek Road and Pecan Avenue – have improved. Traffic is flowing well now.
Motorists can expect delays on N.C. 16 near Lucia River Bend Highway, near the Gaston-Mecklenburg county line. An earlier incident involving an overturned vehicle is part of the reason for problems there. There also is a wreck on N.C. 16 (Brookshire Boulevard) at Mount Holly-Huntersville Road.

An earlier wreck with injuries has been cleared on Nations Ford Road at Huntsmoor Drive, near Arrowood Road. Traffic is still a bit slow there.

I-77 northbound, Rock Hill ... Earlier collision near Exit 85 (Sutton Road); moderate delays.
