Traffic on Sunset Road in north Charlotte remains slow at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday due to a wreck involving an overturned vehicle.
The wreck was reported a short distance east of Interstate 77. The eastbound lanes were closed for a time after the 8:45 a.m. wreck but have reopened. Traffic remains clogged in the area, however.
The other trouble spot is I-77 in the northern part of Mecklenburg County. Congestion is causing slow travel on both sides of the highway between Davidson and Huntersville.
On Idlewild Road, a four-vehicle wreck was reported about 6:45 a.m. at Ware Road. That is a block west of Harris Boulevard. Three cars and a pickup truck were involved. Medic said it did not have to transport any patients from that wreck.
