Except for the CTC/Arena Station, all LYNX Blue Line stations in uptown Charlotte will be closed Saturday and Sunday for construction line cut work.
The Blue Line is expected to return to its regular schedule Monday morning.
On Saturday and Sunday, the line will operate only between the Interstate 485/South Boulevard Station and the Carson Station, the Charlotte Area Transit System announced on Twitter Tuesday morning.
Service to the CTC/Arena from the Carson Station will be accessible via CATS bus service. When the bus approaches, the headway sign will say “LYNX Connector.”
Never miss a local story.
The LYNX Connector will have direct service between the Charlotte Transportation Center and the Carson Station. Other stations in Uptown will not be served by the connector.
Customers in uptown can access the LYNX Connector at Bay X of the Charlotte Transportation Center. Bay X is on East Fourth Street below the LYNX Blue Line bridge.
Regular local fare will be required and, as always, serves as a transfer.
Tickets can be purchased at the open LYNX stations from the ticket vending machines. If you pay for your ride on the bus, you will need cash and exact change. The bus driver can’t make change, and the fare boxes don’t accept credit cards.
