Medic transported one person with a gunshot wound to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte on Friday.
The person was shot in the 4300 block of Sunset Road and had life-threatening injuries, Medic said on its Twitter account.
The shooting happened shortly before 1 p.m.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police hadn’t released details by 2 p.m., but asked news crews that shot video to blur out or not use video of witnesses who were inside the crime scene, for the witnesses’ safety.
Keith Trietley, a CMPD public affairs officer, asked news crews to use video of officers in uniform.
