Portions of Elm Lane in southeast Charlotte and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in uptown Charlotte will be closed Sunday for construction.
Charlotte transportation officials said Elm Lane will be closed from Ballantyne Commons Parkway to Indigo Row, from 9 a.m. Sunday through next Saturday. During that time, crews will repave the roadway.
A detour will be posted, using Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Rea Road and Pineville-Matthews Road. St. Matthew Catholic Church can be reached off Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Rea Road and Williams Pond Lane.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard closure is scheduled for one day, from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday. It will be closed for one block, between Tryon and Church streets.
