Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have released the identity of an 80-year-old woman killed Tuesday afternoon in wreck at the intersection of Quail Hollow and Gleneagles roads in south Charlotte.
Jacqueline Lookabill was transported from the crash site by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center, and died of her injuries about an hour later, police said.
The accident occurred about 5:06 p.m., when Lookabill’s northbound Ford Explorer turned left into the path of a Freightliner truck traveling southbound Quail Hollow Road, officials said. Cary Miranda, 24, was driving the truck and sustained minor injuries. A passenger in the truck Brayam Toban, 30, also had minor injuries. Speed was not a factor in the accident, police said.
