Pizza night: The Northwest Cabarrus Bible Teaching Association is holding a pizza fundraiser. The fundraiser is held at CiCi's Pizza in Cloverleaf Plaza the second Monday of each month from 4-9 p.m. After you pay for your pizza, place your receipt in the bucket by the register marked "Northwest Cabarrus Bible Teaching Association." CiCi's will tally the total amount and donate 10 percent to the NCBTA each month.
Funding college: Cannon School invites parents its Concord campus 7 p.m., Dec. 2 to learn strategies to cover the rising costs of college through scholarships and financial aid. The event takes place in Foundation Hall.

Children playing sports: Cannon School invites parents of elementary school-age children from throughout the Charlotte region to its Concord campus on Mon., Dec. 14 to explore the benefits of playing multiple sports and the dangers of specialization. The "Young Children and Sports" event takes place in Foundation Hall beginning at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Teachers earn National Board Certification: English teacher, Katie Casey, and math teacher, Andrea Harkey, recently attained National Board Teacher Certification. National Board Certified Teachers are highly accomplished educators who meet high and rigorous standards. Hickory Ridge now has 12 NBCTs. Blood drive: HOSA is sponsoring a blood drive on Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. It is open to staff members, students and their families. To be eligible to donate, you must be at least 17-years-old and weigh at least 120 pounds. If you gave blood at the blood drive in September, you can also give at this blood drive since you can donate every 56 days. All presenting donors will receive a T-shirt. Students and teachers can sign up during lunches in the cafeteria or see a HOSA member or contact Debra Moss at firstname.lastname@example.org. Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will donate $500 to the school if they collect a total of 100 units in this blood drive and the one in the spring.

Flapjack fundraiser: Support Robinson's chorus at their Flapjack Fundraiser. This event will be held at the Applebee's at Concord Mills on Dec. 12, 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. The ticket price is $7. Covenant Classical
Peter Pan: The CCS Upper School theater class is pleased to present the "real" Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie Dec. 10 and Dec. 12. Both performances begin at 7 p.m. and general admission tickets will be available at the door for $3 and $1 for children 12 and under. The show runs about one hour and 45 minutes including an intermission with concessions. Come see Peter and Wendy, Captain Hook and Smee, Tiger Lily and Tinker Bell and the rest of the beloved characters as you are transported to Never Land and back!
