Varsity soccer: Congratulations to JMRHS Varsity Men's Soccer all SPC Conference and NC Soccer Coaches Association All-Region award winners: Josh Jones, Eduardo Navarro, Zach Page, Angel Rebollar-Salinas, Christian Salinas, and Ben Shamanis. Angel Rebollar-Salinas was also recognized as the SPC Conference Player of the Year, the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association Region Player of the Year and was included in the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association All-State selection.
Summer Ventures applications: Any Sophomore or Junior that is interested in applying for the Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics needs to see Mrs. Mowery. This 4-week, free program is designed for academically high achieving students who have a demonstrated interest in career fields related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics. For more information check the website: www.summerventures.org . Mrs. Mowery has brochures and applications available in her office. Applications must be mailed by the school counselor before Jan. 31, 2010.
Musical auditions: Scripts for the spring musical "Good News!" are available for check out from Mrs. Rassler in A144 or in the lecture hall. Auditions will take place shortly after exams in January. There are only two copies, so you may have to be patient, but keep checking! Scripts are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis. See Mrs. Rassler with questions.
Open house: The open house will begin at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 15 at CCS. Come tour our school, see classes in action and learn more about our program.
