Owner Eddie Ellis opened Easy Riders of Mecklenburg in 2000. In 2003 he changed the name of the store to Easy Eddie's Motorcycle Service.
Ellis added a lounge in 2004 so fellow bikers could have a place to hang out. That has made Easy Eddie's a great riding destination.
On Christmas Eve, bikers can enjoy a free buffet 1-4 p.m. The kitchen will close at 4 p.m., but the bar will stay open until Santa returns.
On New Year's Eve, bikers can ring in 2010 with a steak dinner and party 5-9 p.m. The Pussh Band will play, and there will be a midnight toast and breakfast. Cost is $25 per couple.
Never miss a local story.

I am proud of my mom. She conquered her fear of flying so she and my dad could travel halfway around the world to spend Christmas with us this year. It was a monumental feat.
We are grateful and feel incredibly blessed. It is, by far, the best gift ever to spend Christmas together as a family.
Wishing all readers a fantastic Christmas. May it be very merry.
