Christ Community Church women's study group, Women with a Purpose, will host a Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University program for women only.
The class will meet 7-8 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 20-March 10. The deadline to register is Jan.10; cost is $93 per person.
Financial expert Dave Ramsey developed Financial Peace University. The program teaches people how to make the right financial decisions and empowers them with the practical skills and confidence needed to achieve financial goals.
As a result, students can experience true financial peace.

Dressler's Restaurant in Birkdale Village will host Flying into the New Year with Dressler's, a fundraising dinner for the Carolina Raptor Center.
The event will be at the restaurant 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Jan. 14. Carolina Raptor Center will benefit from 10 percent of all proceeds.
