Cabarrus County Concord
Local small business owners have a new free tool to promote their goods and services to potential customers at the North Carolina Research Campus.
A new Web site called Business Connector is a buy-local initiative sponsored by the Small Business Center at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. The site aims to make it easier for newcomers and others at the biotechnology hub in downtown Kannapolis to find local vendors.
The password-protected site allows small business owners to post detailed information about their businesses, including links to their Web sites, and update it anytime. Any potential purchaser at the North Carolina Research Campus will have a password to search the site.
Never miss a local story.
The free site is available to any business that is headquartered in Cabarrus or Rowan county and has fewer than 100 employees. Businesses are invited to register at www.businessconnector.net.
Applications are available for businesses to show their products and services at the March 26 Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce Business Show 2009.
