Creative EJ music studio, formerly of Huntersville, is now up and running at the former Palace theater in Cornelius.
To celebrate St. Patrick's Day weekend, Creative EJ will host "SHAM-Rockin' the Palace," a family event 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday at the Palace.
The music festival will have more than 50 individual performers and 20 bands and singing groups. Area bands will include Kaution, Steve Luna, SNAC, Cynergy, Backseat Audio and Sunday Finale.
The free event will have something for kids of all ages, including raffle drawings all day. There will be two performance stages and fashion shows directed by former Los Angels professional print and runway model Diamelen Partridge. Fashion shows will feature clothing from local boutiques.
Children ages 2-6 will enjoy "Celina's Dance Party," an interactive kids' show featuring music and silly dances from the show "Sesame Street." Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
