Davidson's Concerts on the Green are a nice way to spend an evening with friends, food and free music.
Concerts are 6-9 p.m. on the village green at Main Street and Concord Road.

Adults can visit the state-of-the-art Piedmont Triad's Farmer's Market 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday. The 21,120-square-foot shelter has local fruits and vegetables. The cost is $30 for transportation and wine tasting at Raylen Vineyard. Lunch is on your own at Moose Café.
An adult trip to the Lansford Canal State Park near Catawba, S.C., will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 27, offering beautiful views of the Rocky Shoals spider lilies. The $20 fee covers transportation and park admission. Bring your lunch.

Chorus concert May 29
The North Mecklenburg Community Chorus will sing songs from Broadway shows in "Made in America" at 8 p.m. May 29 and 3 p.m. May 30 in the Duke Family Performance Hall in the Davidson College Union. Tickets are $15 at www.northmecklenburgchorus.org. Also, local residents will play rock 'n' roll and jazz.
