The Arc of Cabarrus County will host a Flapjack Fundraiser 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Applebee's, 1240 Concord Parkway N. All proceeds will go to advocacy, education and support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Donna Allen of Statesville recently won $750,000 in the Jumbo Bucks instant scratch-off game of the N.C. Education Lobby. She was shopping for groceries when she bought the ticket, according to a state news release. Allen said the good luck was "a blessing."
