Hours: Scream Time Zipline operates weekends October through April (off-peak), four days a week May through September (mid-season), and seven days a week June through August (peak season).
Cost: The regular tour is $89 for 21/2 hours, the super zip added on to the regular tour is $29 extra and the super zip stand alone ride is $55.
Activities: Guests begin their high-flying tour by four-wheeling up a mountain on a six-wheel, off-road vehicle from Austria. Once at the top of the ridge, visitors will fly from mountaintop to mountaintop on a zipline. Guests can enjoy the regular tour consisting of six zip lines, with lines ranging in lengths from one to three football fields. The super zip added on to the regular tour will allow visitors to glide over more than a mile of cable. Scream Time Zipline has been featured in the New York Times and on the Travel Channel as the most exciting zip line in America. Visitors can expect to spend about an hour and a half on tour. Scream Time asks guests to wear closed-toed shoes, long shorts or pants, rain gear (in wet weather), have long hair tied back and no dangly jewelry. Guests are also asked to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled tour.
Target Audience: Participants must weigh between 25 and 325 pounds.
Directions: I-85 S toward Gastonia/Spartanburg. Take exit 17 for U.S.-321 S/U.S.-321 N toward Gastonia/Lincolnton. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for U.S.-321 N. Turn left at U.S.-321 N/N Chester Street. Continue to follow US-321 N. From 321 North (Blowing Rock Hwy), turn left at Wendy's restaurant onto 105 South. Go two miles, turn right at light onto 105 ByPass (321/421). Go two miles and turn left at light onto 421 North. Go eight miles to shuttle pick up on the right; look for Scream Time Zipline parking sign.
