Enjoy Alpine horn and bell playing, yodeling and even a "singing saw" when the five-piece Gootman Sauerkraut Band performs at the Charles Mack Citizen Center on Saturday night.
Attired in authentic Bavarian costumes, the group plays authentic Bavarian music from Germany and Austria.
The band's leader, Jerry Goodman, formed Gootman Sauerkraut in 1973 after placing fourth in the world on the accordion and studying music theory and harmony at UNCChapel Hill. The band performs across the Eastern United States.
Part of the Mooresville Concerts series, the performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Joe Knox Theater. A "Meet the Artists" reception is afterward.
Never miss a local story.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and free for children younger than 10. Buy tickets at the Mack Center, 215 N. Main St.; at the Mooresville Recreation Department office, 418 Carpenter Ave.; or by calling 704-662-3334.
