The Odell Lions Club's Spring Barbecue will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the club, N.C. 73 West and Odell School Road. Plates are $7, with either pork barbecue or barbecued chicken plus barbecue beans, coleslaw and bread. Sandwiches are $3 or four for $10. Bulk barbecue is $8 a pound. Drinks and desserts will be available. Eat in or take out. All proceeds go toward services for vision-impaired people of Cabarrus County and Camp Dogwood, the N.C. Lions' camp for the blind on Lake Norman.
