Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.
Activities: Guests will be able to view the permanent collection of American Art and works borrowed from private collectors and other institutions. The museum has three floors with 11 changing exhibition galleries and also offers classes for all ages throughout the year. Currently on exhibit is IMAGE*INATION: Catawba Valley Camera Club 4th Annual Juried Exhibition through March 27. In this exhibit, visitors can browse the works of regional photographers.
Upcoming events at the museum also include: Haiku in the gallery with Adrian Rice, 6-8 p.m. March 25. Also, a yoga, creativity and chaos class 5:30-6:30 p.m. April 5. Through April 15, visitors can also view the collection, Scene Unseen, by Fanjoy Labrenz. After viewing exhibits, visitors can browse and shop for local pottery, jewelry, candles, paintings, scarves and more in the Hickory Museum of Art Galleria.

Turn left at U.S.-321 N./North Chester Street. Continue to follow U.S.-321 N. Take exit 42 to merge onto N.C. 127 N. Turn right at First Avenue N.E. Take the first left onto Third Street N.E. Turn left at the second cross street onto Third Avenue N.E.
