Summer means baseball, and in the region, that means minor-league baseball.
Closest to Concord and Harrisburg are the Kannapolis Intimidators, a Single-A farm club in the Chicago White Sox minor-league chain.
The team plays home games at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium, a 4,700 seat facility built in 1995 and located off I-85 at Exit 63.
The Intimidators face the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7 p.m. June 15. Wednesday night games highlight local charities; Kannapolis Relay for Life is recognized on June 15. A homestand against the Greensboro Grasshoppers will take place June 16-19.
Never miss a local story.
General admission tickets are $6 and reserved seats are $8. Children 4-12 and seniors over 55 pay $5 for general admission and $7 for reserved seats. VIP seats for everyone are $11.
