Ending hunger: Observing United Nations World Food Day, volunteers and Safelite Autoglass, the Star Touring and Riding Concord Chapter 443, Ride Now Powersports, Walmart and HOPE worldwide distributed food to 214 Cabarrus families in need Oct. 17-18. The effort was part of the Campaign to End Hunger.
Award-winning EMS: Lt. Will Cannon and Sgt. Jonathan Maulden recently took top honors at the Carolina’s Paramedic Competition in Columbia, S.C. The Cabarrus County EMS team won the two-day event, in which Carolinas teams performed various patient care scenarios.
