The Cannon girls’ golf team won its fourth straight N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association championship Oct. 21 at Longleaf Golf Club in Pinehurst.
The Cougars shot a team score of 495 in the two-day tournament, beating second-place Forsyth Country Day (499) by four strokes.
Cannon senior Anna Redding was the individual champion, shooting a 139 (70-69) to beat second-place Roshnee Sharma (146, 74-72) from Providence Day by seven strokes.
Cougars senior Annie Collum was also named all-state after shooting a 164 (79-85) and finishing sixth.
