They're all part of Monday's 10th annual Charlotte Labor Day Parade that will close some center-city streets during the morning.
The parade will start at Ninth and Tryon streets and go to Third and Tryon. It will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If driving uptown, stay away from Tryon in the morning, and beware of post-parade, early-afternoon traffic around the city.
Charlotte Area Transit System buses will operate on a Sunday schedule for Labor Day. No express service will run, and Route 42 to Carowinds from the I-485 light-rail station will run every 45 minutes 7:55 a.m. through 7:35 p.m. Details: www.charmeck.org/departments/cats.
