The Village at SouthPark has moved its weekly live music event, “Wineday Wednesdays,” to Fridays.
From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Friday, the outdoor shopping development will feature live music and wine tastings. The switch was scheduled to happen this past Friday, and events will be held through Nov. 21.
Mall officials decided to move the event based on feedback from participants. People enjoyed the Wednesday events, but felt rushed to get home to prepare for the next work day, spokeswoman Molly Parrish said.
“Fridays seem to be a bit more casual or leisurely and we wanted to offer another alternative in Charlotte for people to enjoy, relax, shop and taste new and different wines,” she said via e-mail.
