Killingtons to open Oct. 1 at Exit 23
Killingtons Restaurant & Pub is scheduled to open Oct. 1 in the former Tailgaters in Rosedale Shopping Center, off I-77 Exit 23.
Greg Roderick, a partner in Tavern on the Tracks in Charlotte's South End, owns Killingtons with wife, Shannon. Executive chef is Brian Bruce.
The menu will include such entrees as cast-iron-seared steak and pecan-encrusted mahi, as well as soups, salads and such appetizers as smoked duck spring roll.

Sebastiano's to add location in Cornelius
Sebastiano's Pizzeria & Ristorante plans to open a second location soon in the former Amore Italian Restaurant space on West Catawba Avenue.
Sebastiano's other location is in Mooresville.
Proscuitto's kicks off
brunch for NFL fans
Prosciutto's Pizzeria, Pub & Restaurant has added Sunday brunch at the request of patrons watching NFL games there.
Brunch includes four 12-inch breakfast pizzas, four breakfast burritos and “starters” that include zeppole, or homemade, Italian-style doughnuts rolled in sugar and cinnamon.
Brunch beverages start at noon and include such selections as a Blood Mary, Mimosa and Irish coffee drink. Brunch is served 10:30 a.m. until half-time of the 1 p.m. games.
