Mecklenburg County Huntersville

Maddi's Gallery has been named Top Retailer of American Craft in the United States for 2009.Niche magazine and the Rosen Group presented the award at the annual Retailer Awards Ceremony in Philadelphia earlier this month.

The awards competition recognizes top North American craft retailers.

Maddi's, which has locations in Charlotte and Birkdale Village, earned the award for such efforts as its Carolina Folk Art Festival each May and the community projects it supports, especially the annual Potter's Market Invitational fundraiser for the Mint Museum of Art.

Cornelius
