Landscapers: The town of Huntersville is seeking qualification statements for landscaping services for code enforcement purposes. The town expects to select several companies to provide services including mowing, bush hogging and debris removal. Submit a signed cover letter from a principal of your company disclosing billable rates, terms and certifying that personnel and equipment are available when called upon. PARC update: Commissioner Dave Gilroy recently recognized Ron Kelley, Del Arrendale and John Freese. The trio will conduct a performance audit of the town's PARC department to ensure the town is spending taxpayer dollars effectively and having maximum community impact. A formal report will be given in a few weeks. When Westmoreland Athletic Complex and Robbins Park areas are complete, the town will have 11 parks.

Bridge players: The Lake Norman Bridge Center will offer a 10-week series of bridge lessons, starting at noon March 1 at Cornelius Town Hall. Lessons for the advancing player will focus on the theme "Play of the Hand." The major focus of the classes will be on playing the hand as bid but bidding and defense also will be reviewed.
