Tunes and BBQ: The Bailey Middle School Orchestra Patrons will host its inaugural Bailey Bows & BBQ event 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Bailey Road Park. The free community celebration of music will include performances by local bands, ice cream, face-painting and an Instrument Petting Zoo. A barbecue fundraiser will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Plates are $7 in advance. A limited number of plates will be available at the festival for $8. Proceeds will benefit the school's orchestra program. Ethics and law: Davidson College and the Mecklenburg County Bar will host a panel discussion, "Ethics in the Legal Profession," 7-8:30 p.m. April 27 in the Smith 900 Room of the Alvarez College Union on campus.
