Akon rescheduled: The upcoming Akon concert at Davidson College has been rescheduled to 8 p.m. May 1 in Belk Arena of the Baker Sports Complex. Akon is a Senegalese-American R&B singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer. His recent album, "Freedom," features "Right Now" and "Beautiful." Previously purchased tickets for the show will still be honored. Ticket holders who purchased tickets prior to April 16 and can't attend reschedule show may request a refund. Attention anglers: The May 15-16 inaugural Carolina Big Bass Classic on Lake Norman will offer amateur anglers the chance to compete for more than $100,000 in cash and prizes in this open event. The angler with the largest overall big bass will take home a 2010 Nitro Z8 bass boat. Anglers will compete for thousands in hourly cash payouts. The one-day fee is $100; two-day is $150.
