Library hours extended: Starting Sept. 13, the Davidson branch library will be open one additional day per week for six hours, thanks to a staff-led volunteer program and support from town leaders. Due to the loss of about 180 library staff, community libraries reduced hours from six days/66 hours per week to four days/32 hours per week. The Davidson branch will be open five days/38 hours per week.
Trimming trees: The Engineering and Public Works Department reminds residents and homeowner associations to clear tree limbs within 2 feet of any traffic sign to maintain visibility for drivers. Other requirements are available at www.huntersville.org.
What's going on?: Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities is extending an existing 24 inch water line along Zion Street from Washam Potts Road to Catawba Avenue to increase water flow capacity.
