The internationally renowned Cirque du Soleil's "TOTEM" made its official U.S. debut on March 3 in Concord.
The show combines drama, circus arts and street entertainment to tell a Darwinian-like tale of the human species using science, legend, trademark imagination and breath-taking skill. About a dozen acts take audiences on a evolutionary journey that explores Man's potential. A turtle, representing the earth, is an omnipresent totemic animal throughout the show's environment.
More than 50 performing artists from 19 countries will perform almost daily under the Grand Chapiteau, or Big Top, across from Charlotte Motor Speedway.
