A seven-year-old boy says his school bus driver punched him in the chest so hard that it made him vomit and cry, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
According to the police report, the incident happened on February 25 around 2:30 p.m.
The boy told his step-father that he got into trouble on the bus for standing up. That's when the boy says the 53-year-old driver, whose name has not been released, came back and "pushed him back into the seat."
"The driver then punched him in the chest hard enough to make him cry and then vomit," the report states.
Police have worked with the school district to get video from inside the school bus.
School administrators identified the driver to police, but his name has been removed from the police report because police say charges are not currently pending against the driver.
"The parent's complaint is under investigation by the Rock Hill Police Department," school officials said. "The driver will be on leave until the investigation has been completed."
