An elderly Maiden man was arrested on 19 charges after investigators say he sold drugs to undercover officers.
Clifford Ernest Lindsey, 74, was arrested on 15 charges involving the possession and sale of controlled substances and manufacturing marijuana, three counts of selling a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school and one count of possessing a stolen firearm.
Investigators said that on more than one occasion Lindsey sold controlled substances to undercover officers from his home on the 400 block of North Main Street, near Maiden Elementary School.
On Tuesday, as part of the continuing investigation, narcotics officers from four agencies executed a search warrant at Lindsey's home and he was arrested on the charges.
He is currently being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a $140,000 bond.
