Fifes and drums Tuesday
The Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps will perform 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Hill City Hall.
The corps is made up of youth ages 12-18 who perform between 40 and 50 times each season.
They dress in replicas of the Continental uniform of George Washington's personal lifeguard, with white wool breeches, a waistcoat and blue wool Continental coat trimmed in red.
Never miss a local story.
The corps has appeared in hundreds of ceremonies, parades and festivals throughout the Midwest, New England and Canada since its inception in 1971, including the re-opening of the Statue of Liberty in 2004.
The corps also performed at the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution in Philadelphia.
