I want all of you to know how much I've enjoyed writing this column. I've met lots of great people and talked lots of “foodie” talk. What could be better? Please feel free to continue to ask me cooking questions and to share your favorite recipes and food stories. I'll miss the chance to feel I'm chatting with each of you every week.
Mary Robinson shared this recipe for Mary's Best-Ever Chicken Noodle Soup in the spring. It was too warm then to print it so I saved it for the fall.
Mary's daughter, Lisa Senn of Newberry, S.C. says: “This is the best chicken noodle soup ever.” She made Mary write it down exactly. Don't let the fact that this recipe has two parts and a long list of ingredients scare you; this is worth the effort.
Note: Herbes de Provence is a blend of herbs, including fennel and lavender flowers, that is readily available in supermarkets and specialty stores.
Never miss a local story.
I got a lot of requests for my Hot Dog Chili recipe at church last Wednesday. So I have included it here as well.
Goodbye, God bless and good eating.
