The Carolina Basketball Museum

Hours: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
Activities: The Carolina Basketball Museum features photos, artifacts, videos and historical panels that showcase the history of basketball at UNC Chapel Hill. Visitors begin their journey through the Tar Heel past by viewing a six-minute theater presentation. The film highlights Tar Heel standouts like Roy Williams, Dean Smith, Michael Jordan, Tyler Hansbrough and Phil Ford. Carolina fans will be able to view ACC and NCAA Championship trophies that are on display. While at the museum, visitors will also be able to view interactive presentations that showcase Carolina's 18 Final Four appearances and 17 ACC Tournament championships. From autographed basketballs, to Williams' 2005 NCAA Championship suit sitting beside his college calculus and Spanish books, to Jordan's letter of intent, the museum boasts years of Carolina basketball history for fans.
Cost: Admission is free.

Directions: I-85 N. toward Greensboro. Slight right at I-85 BUS N./U.S.-29 N./U.S.-70 E. (signs for I-40 BUS/Greensboro). Continue onto I-40 E. Take exit 270 for U.S.-15/U.S.-501 toward Chapel Hill/Durham. Turn right at U.S.-15 S./U.S.-501 S./Durham-Chapel Hill Boulevard Service Road. Turn right at Manning Drive. Turn left at Skipper Bowles Drive.
Distance from Charlotte: About two hours and 15 minutes.
