New to Ballantyne Village, Rush Espresso is serving illy coffee, an Italian espresso brand. Cafe owner Paul McConachy says, "Our internationally inspired products will introduce patrons to a new world of flavors and tastes ...''
Espresso, coffee, fine teas and specialty drinks are all being served, along with a light breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. Eggs Benedict Panini, pancakes and Jacks Beans (slow roasted bacon beans served on toast) are available. Assorted pastries, sweets and preservative free breads are also available; the kids' menu includes Frogs in a Pond (Jello with a chocolate frog in the middle).
Meeting space is available, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. Welcome the owners, Paul and Jenny McConachy, when you visit. They relocated to Charlotte from Brisbane, Australia.

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at PJ O'Reilly's beginning 9 a.m. March 17. A tented patio will be set up for patrons to enjoy $2 green beer, bangers and mash, fish and chips, Irish stew and more. The Sun Dried Vibes will be playing under the tent beginning at 4 p.m.; Steven's Mill Band, an Irish band, begins at 5 p.m. inside. Guinness and Miller Lite girls will be on hand; Irish whiskey shots will be $4.

New menu items are being offered for a limited time. Two grilled patties topped with cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato and caramelized onion aioli sauce make up the Wicked Burger, and the new Delmonico is a pineapple-teriyaki, full-flavored steak. The Buffalo Shrimp appetizer is flash-fried in a chipotle hot sauce and served with blue cheese dressing.
