Volunteers honored: From 2 to 3 p.m. Feb.12, the Matthews Library and the Town of Matthews will honor the Matthews branch's 100 volunteers. A special award honoring the "Top Volunteer" of the year will be presented. The event will be at the Matthews Library on Matthews Station Street.

Free health seminar: A health and fitness seminar will be at Peace Moravian Church at 4418 Rea Road, presented by Rick St. George, a physical therapist and board-certified orthopedic specialist who has had a private practice in Charlotte for 27 years.
