Officers with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s University City division arrested three men Tuesday on charges of breaking and entering.

Jarhico Hairston, 17, Rayanee Shah and Seth Parks, both 18, were arrested in connection to a residential break-in on O’Casey Lane, officials said.

Officers were dispatched to O’Casey Lane around 4 p.m. Tuesday after a neighbor called 911 and said they had seen three suspects enter a home through the back door. When officers arrived, Hairston was walking out the front door while the other two suspects went out a rear window and ran, police said.

Hairston was taken into custody immediately and officers requested a perimeter be set to search for the other suspects. CMPD’s Aviation Unit and K9 helped search the neighborhood and Shah and Parks were located and arrested a short time later, according to officials.

Following interviews with detectives, all three men were charged with breaking and entering and transferred to the custody of Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office. Shah and Parks were also charged with resist, obstruct and delay.

Police credit “the vigilance of neighbors in calling 911 to report suspicious behavior” and the Aviation and K9 Units for the quick arrests.
