A Charlotte Area Transit System meeting to update the public on progress of the light rail line extension will be held Tuesday afternoon in the University City area.
The meeting originally was scheduled for last Tuesday but was postponed because of snowy weather. Today’s meeting will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Oasis Shriners Center, 604 Doug Mayes Place.
The workshop is designed to get public input about construction of the light rail line and the University City Area Plan.
The draft copy of an update to the University City Area Plan will be presented to the public at another meeting, set for 4:30-6:30 p.m. March 11 at the Oasis Shriners Center. Input at the two meetings could help lead to changes in land use recommendations in University City.
