Duathlon: The fourth annual University City Duathlon and 5K will be held May 3 at the David Taylor Corporate Center.
The duathlon, hosted by two local businesses, Bike Line of Charlotte and Run For Your Life, is a multisport event that consists of a 5K run, a 19K bike and a 3K run, all on the forested University Research Park and greenway trails.
Participants can run and cycle as an individual or team up with a partner for a relay. In addition, this year the event is offering a 5K run and a kid’s sprint.
Never miss a local story.
In the past three years, the event has raised more than $16,000 for local charities. For more information, go to charlottebikes.net/events/home-pg184.htm.

A complete list of camps will be published online. Due to limited space, a shorter version will be published in the Sunday community news sections, focusing on camps in the appropriate circulation areas. List the camps you want in print first. There is a print limit of 20 camps per sponsor; that limit does not apply to the online list.
The deadline to enter camps is 5 p.m. Feb. 24. Details: email@example.com.
