An Oakdale Elementary School music teacher has been arrested on child pornography charges, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said Thursday morning.
Benjamin McMiller, 32, is charged with four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of second-degree exploitation of a minor.
Records indicate McMiller was jailed around 3 a.m. Thursday morning and remains in custody.
Police say they received an online tip on Oct. 10 involving an individual watching child pornography. CMPD and the State Bureau of Investigation traced an online account to McMiller, police say. Investigators went to the teacher’s home and seized evidence, police say.
