The 17-year-old uncle of a toddler who died after a crash near Charlotte’s airport Saturday morning has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and driving without a license.
Police say Darius Neque Roseborough was not licensed to drive as he was headed outbound from the airport in a 2010 Chevrolet Impala just before 6 a.m. Saturday. His nephew, Logan Xavier Wright, who turned 2 in November, was in the back seat.
It was dark and raining at the time and Roseborough lost control of the car, which slid off the left side of the road and began to rotate. It crashed into a tree on the passenger side.
Logan was buckled into a proper child restraint seat, but died of his injuries the day after the crash.
